Causeways on unsealed roads in the wet season are often susceptible to severe erosion.

Revegetation Contractors was contracted by Department of Defence - Army to stabilise three road causeways that could withstand tank traffic at the entrance to one of their training centres.

After the necessary design was completed Revegetation Contractors elected to install Geoweb© in the area to be treated for its ability to strengthen the load bearing capacity of the road while remaining flexible and secondly for its inherent capacity to retain gravel in its cellular structure in the face of heavy water flows.

Given the dry conditions of the area, Revegetation Contractors was also required to select drought tolerant grass species for re-vegetation works in the adjacent training centre.
